Day 1 : Day 1 - Arrival Mumbai

On arrival, you will be met by our representative & transferred to hotel, where we will be holding the rooms on ready occupancy basis. After traditional welcome check in the hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2 : Day 2 - In Mumbai

Morning enjoy a half day tour of: Gateway of India - The stone archway designed by Wittett in the 16th century Gujarat style. Elephanta Caves - 9kms by sea. These 7th century rock – cut temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3 : Mumbai - Udaipur by flight

Morning at leisure. Late afternoon flight to Udaipur. On arrival transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Udaipur.

Day 4 : In Udaipur

Depart on a full day excursion to Ranakpur with its 15th century Jain temples. Two hundred pillars support 29 halls which abound with friezes and sculptures in varied styles. The Maharani Bagh Orchid Resort will provide a hot lunch while you view a performance of the tribal Bheel. You will also visit the temples of the Sun. Overnight in Udaipur.

Day 5 : Udaipur - Jaipur by flight

After an early morning boat ride on Lake Pichola, depart on a city tour of Udaipur that includes the fabulous City Palace. Late afternoon flight to Jaipur. You are met on arrival and transferred to your hotel, a former hunting lodge of the Maharaja. Overnight in Jaipur.

Day 6 : In Jaipur

Morning excursion to Amber fort for an elephant ride to the glorious hilltop fortress and the Kali Temple with its solid-silver doors. The afternoon tour of Jaipur will combine the City Palace, the Observatory, the Hawa Mahal and culminate in a unique Rajasthani dinner. Overnight in Jaipur.

Day 7 : Jaipur - Agra by road 230 KMS / 6 HRS + Sightseeing of Fatehpur Sikri

Leave Jaipur and drive through the countryside to the walled city of Fatehpur Sikri, built to commemorate the birth of Akbar's son. The complex was completed in 1574, but 14 years later the city was abandoned. Of particular interest are the Red stone mosques, courtyards and the palace where Akbar played chess using slave girls as pawns. Afterwards, proceed to Agra. Overnight in Agra.

Day 8 : In Agra

The morning tour encompasses a visit to the Agra Fort complex, which is a paradigm of the architectural styles of the Moghul Emperors. In the evening, enjoy the ambience around the world's greatest monument to love, the Taj Mahal, built by Shah Jahan. Overnight in Agra.

Day 9 : Agra - Jhansi by Shatabdi (Flight is not operating these days)

In time transfer to the Railway station to board the fastest train to Jhansi, meeting on arrial and drive to Khajuraho. Rest of the time free for independent activities. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 10 : In Khajuraho

The sculptures of the temples of Khajuraho are ensconsed in wall niches. Provocative maidens, dancers, musicians and embracing couples adorn these buildings of worship, which are masterpieces of Indian Art. Overnight in Khajuraho.

Day 11 : Khajuraho - Varanasi by flight

Morning flight to Varanasi, one of the oldest cities in the world. Also known as Benaras, the city has remained the center of the Hindu faith. In the afternoon, you will tour the area and its local bazaars. Overnight in Varanasi.

Day 12 : In Varanasi

Rise early for a boat trip on the sacred river Ganga as the sun's first rays light up the mile-long stretch of 'Ghats' (steps) that lead into the waters of the river. This afternoon drive to Sarnath, south of Varanasi, to the spot where Budhha first preached over 2,000 years ago. The archaeological museum displays the Ashoka Pillar (264-226 B.C.), the emblem of independent India. Overnight in Varanasi.

Day 13 : Varanasi - Delhi by flight

Morning at leisure. Afternoon fly to Delhi. On arrival transfer to the hotel. Introduction to Indian classical dance technique followed by dinner. Overnight in Delhi.

Day 14 : Departure Delhi

A full day tour of Delhi will comprise the Red Fort, Jama Masjid mosque, Raj Ghat (where Gandhi was cremated), the Ashoka Pillar and the mile long Chandni Chowk Bazaar. After lunch, drive through New Delhi, a city designed and built by the British in the 1920s. Historically significant sights include India Gate, the President's House, Emperor Humayun's Tomb and the Qutab Minar.Transfer to the airport for your international flight home.
